2020 marked the 100th year since some women were granted the right to vote nationally across the USA, and Alison’s Suffragette collection is a celebration of their campaign for women’s right to vote. After many years of picketing, conventions, and strikes, the pressure from the Suffragettes eventually resulted in the 19th Amendment being added to the U.S. Constitution, stating that “The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.”
